Private macro units, compatible units, materials, and custom costs can be promoted to public status so that they can be shared by all users. This operation requires the capability to configure public units.

All private units (macro units, compatible units, materials, and custom costs) can be promoted to public units by changing the unit’s Type property. For macro units and compatible units, this action can also be performed by using the Promote to Public command on the Actions menu of the Unit Assistant.
